Proposition 403 is a $415 million bond to allow West-MEC to build new school facilities, expand current facilities, purchase land for additional school sites and equip these facilities to offer additional career and technical education programs. Voting Yes on the bond will create new opportunities in the Northeast Valley, Peoria, and the Northwest Valley as well as expand existing Central and Southwest campuses to allow students access to more programs closer to home. A “yes” vote shall authorize the Western Maricopa Education Center District No. 402 (West-MEC) Governing Board to issue and sell $415,000,000 of school improvement bonds of the District to be repaid with secondary property taxes.
A “no” vote shall not authorize the Western Maricopa Education Center District No. 402 (West-MEC) Governing Board to issue and sell such bonds of the District.
Proposition 406 will allow West-MEC to sell, lease or exchange all or part of some property near the administrative office and use all or a portion of any such proceeds of any such sale, lease or exchange to purchase school sites, construct, improve, equip and furnish school buildings, invest in technology, and other permitted capital expenditures.

Shall the Governing Board of Western Maricopa Education Center District No. 402 (West-MEC) of Maricopa County, Arizona, be authorized to sell, lease or exchange the following described parcels of real property, or any portion thereof, and use all or a portion of any such proceeds of any such sale, lease or exchange to purchase school sites and/or to construct, improve, equip and furnish school buildings, including technology, to purchase student transportation vehicles and/or any other permitted capital expenditure? The real property is described as follows:
Parcel A: Site located in the subdivision named Phoenix Cement Investment Holdings & John F Long Mld in Glendale, Arizona, known as the SE Corner of 110th Avenue and Glendale (approximately 29.37 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Number is 102-592-41C.
Parcel B: Site located at 5405 North 99th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona 85305, known as the District’s Western Maricopa Education Center in the Glendale Corporate Center (approximately 2.22 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Number is 102-140-22.
Parcel C: Site located at 5487 North 99th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona 85305, known as the District’s Western Maricopa Education Center in the Glendale Corporate Center (approximately 2.11 acres). Assessor’s Parcel Number is 102-140-23.
West-MEC has kept their promises to build premier regional education centers. They have delivered on their previous bond projects with fiscal responsibility, saving taxpayers over $22 million by paying off projects early while building regional facilities that benefit our community and improve our quality of life. We can trust the district to continue to keep their promises.
