West-MEC has kept their promises to build premier regional education centers. They have delivered on their previous bond projects with fiscal responsibility, saving taxpayers over $22 million by paying off projects early while building regional facilities that benefit our community and improve our quality of life. We can trust the district to continue to keep their promises.
Proposition 403 and Proposition 406 will allow West-MEC to increase its essential programs throughout the region without increasing the tax rate. This program is designed to make these critical investments while maintaining the overall property tax rate equal to the current rate – no tax rate increase.
If approved, the bond would continue the existing tax rate of $0.13 per $100 of limited assessed value (LAV) or $13 per year per $100,000 of home value. Please note: Value for tax purposes is the limited value of your property as it appears on your tax bill and does not necessarily represent the market value. Voters can look up their home value on the county assessor site and apply the costs above to their limited property value.
